‘Chez Discovery’ is equipped for the chef in your family, just bring along your desired provisions. On your way to the island, shop at Salamanca Fresh on Davey Street, on your left, just before you reach the A6 Southern Outlet. Alternatively pop into produce stands in Margate, Snug or Oyster Cove. The folks at Snug Butcher are good humoured, keen Bruny Island fans and supply extra's such as fresh fish, rabbit and wallaby. Do call into 'Nutpatch' in Kettering if you have a chocolate sweet tooth!
Fishing and picnic gear is on hand for your excursions. Bring your fresh catch back, don a chef's apron and create your specialty as the skies transform into evening and you savour a cleansing ale, refreshing Bruny Island Cider, Tasmanian wine or a glass of bubbles!
